I am a retired tech and i have been looking for a detailed diagram or book to explain the requirments to plan a system for my boat. i have a 875 ah house battery bank (6- 6vdc golf cart batteries)and a seperate starting battery 187 ah also i have a 7.5kw diesel generator and a 108A alternator mounted on the main motor, i usually have to run the generator once a day, i wish to extend that with the solar panels. where could i find good books,ref's or diagrams to help me plan my addition to my power system? my wife and i live on a 43ft sailboat and wish to upgrade to solar power.
